How to turn on Wi-Fi Personal Hotspot on Iphone 4?
Okay so i found the "Set up your personal hotspot" button under 'mobile' in settings but when i click it, it takes me to this page http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New, Kb=Companion, question=ref(User):str(Mobile), T=guruCase, VARSET_COBJID=11820, Problem=Obj(11820)
what do i do from here it just tells me stuff i already know and i don't have a hotspot button in my general settings so dint suggest that either.
It's an option that can be enabled or disabled by your phone company.
O2 used to charge an extra subscription to enable it, about £7 per month if I remember correctly.
(I'm with O2 so I did look in to it when I got an iphone).
The personal hotspot facility is called 'Tethering'.
If you have a recent pay-monthly tarriff, it should just work if you enable it on the phone.
For older tariffs or pay-as-you go, it's either an extra or just not available.
