How to unlock an Icloud protected Iphone 4s? - 1
Added (1). Help I just bought an Iphone 4s off of somebody but it's protected by Icloud and I can't find the seller so i'm stuck with this is there any way to unlock the icloud? Any and all answers are welcome thanks
Not unless you jailbreak it
Jailbreak? Are you sure? And how do i do that
I'm afraid not…
Effie doesn't know **** about this. Don't listen to them.
iCloud lock is there for a reason. There's no way to ever bypass iCloud. The phone you bought is most likely lost or stolen. If the seller was legit, he/she would remove the iPhone from their iCloud account.
Essentially, you got scammed. Also, it may be illegal to be in possession of stolen property in your area, so if I were you, I'd just take the phone to the police station and let them deal with it.
You probably aren't going to get your money back, so use this as a reminder to NEVER buy an iPhone without checking the iCloud lock status and MEID/IMEI blacklist.
And no, jailbreaking won't help.
No way around this unless you get into contact with the original owner & ask him/her. Of course the likely case is they sold the phone knowing that. So you may have been scammed.
Nope
- What to do with iPhone 5s to make sure it's protected? I'm going to get a new iPhone 5s next month and I'm wondering is there any special way to take care and protect it? I've heard that you can't put it in your back pocket and things like that. I just want to get a full experience out of it. And to anyone who has one right now, can you rate it on performance 1-10?
- Old iphone Icloud lock still enabled after I buy a new iPhone with icloud on it? If I had my iPhone stolen with icloud lock on and I was tracking it. But I buy a new one and activate the icloud and tracker, does that mean the old iPhone is unlocked? What happens to it? Will I be notified if someone turns it on? Can I track it?
- My iPhone was Stolen, am I protected? My iPhone 4 was recently stolen. The phone did have a passcode on it and had synced it to my computer, but I'm wondering if the thieves can bypass this passcode to get to my notes and pictures? I called AT&T and blacklisted the serial number as well as disabled the service. I'm not exactly sure what this means, but I'm curious if my information on the phone is protected.
- Is there a difference? Icloud unlock & factory unlock? I've never had an iPhone, what's the difference in factory unlock & icloud? I've seen something about original owners, is it impossible for me to get an unlocked iPhone and simply make a new account and place a sim card inside?
