How to unlock my iPhone 5 and switch carriers?
I want to switch from sprint to tmobile because they have cheaper monthly plans. Do I have to buy a new iphone from tmobile or can I keep my phone and just switch?
Just get the phone unlocked and then buy a T-mobile sim.
I got mine unlocked for free. Ask Sprint to unlock it.
You would have to purchase another iphone for T-Mobile. Sprint phones are locked to be used with Sprint network only.
First call your carrier and ask them to unlock it. In the very likely chance they say no you will have to use a third party. I recommend chronicunlocks.com, they're really reliable and the lowest price you're going to find.
You can keep your Sprint iPhone 5 and use it on T-mobile. But you need to get the phone unlocked before you can use the phone on T-Mobile. I would rather suggest you StraightTalk instead of T-mobile for better coverage. If you need help with getting your iPhone 5 factory unlocked, mail me for references.
- Would I be able to switch carriers without having to switch phones? I'm with Consumer Cellular and I have an iPhone SE, but I'm thinking of switching carriers so that I can get unlimited data. I don't want to get a new phone because I've had my current one about six months, I really like it, and it works great. I'm not locked into a contract with Consumer Cellular. Would I be able to switch to another carrier without having to purchase a new phone?
- Unlock carriers on iphone 4? I have jailbrokern our iphone 4 ultrasn0w has been installed but our Vodaphone sim card is still not accepted. Do you know how ot unlock the handset?
- If i switch carriers will I have to restart my phone? I want to switch carriers. Right now I have metro pcs but I'm planning to switch to T-Mobile. I got a new iPhone about 2 months ago so if I switch carriers I'm not looking on buying a new phone. So will I have to restart my phone to switch? Will I loose anything like pictures, apps, or stuff like that?
- Should I switch carriers for the iPhone 5S? I want to buy the 5S, but right now I here that you can only buy the unlocked version for T mobile. Sprint, At&t, and Verizon all have it for a two year, $200 dollar contract. Should I switch carriers?
