How to unlock T-Mobile iPhone without updated iTunes?

I obtained the unlock code from T-Mobile and followed the instructions given, which was to connect my phone to my computer and sync it with iTunes. However, when I did so, I was notified that iTunes could not connect to my device because my version of iTunes is too old. After seeing this, I went to download the new version of iTunes, only to be notified that my OS X software is too old to download the new iTunes. Then when I tried to download the new OS X software, I was notified that my laptop model is too old for this software.

SO BASICALLY, I can't get a newer version of iTunes; thus, I'm not able to unlock my device using my laptop. I live in the dorms and everyone I know has already left for summer break. The school computers don't have iTunes and prohibit downloads. What can I do? I need to unlock it within the next few days before I go abroad.

The phone must be connected to iTunes before you can unlock it. So find a computer to get the unlock.

So I did all that and went to try and update my phone again and it still said I had to update my itunes first so I did it again and it is still not allowing me to update my iphone. It still says I need the latest version of itunes. What am I do wrong!
  • My cousin updated his iphone and now its saying to plug it up to itunes? I plugged it up to the computer and it didn't do anything and on the screen it still says to plug it up onto iTunes like it would when you first get a iphone, any thing I can do?
