How to update iPhone 5 to a different iCloud backup?
So I dropped my phone in my toilet (sigh… I know… DON'T put your phone in your back pocket…) And I bought a new phone. It wouldn't let me back it up to my iCloud that was updated yesterday because the phone didn't have ios update 8 or something (I'm updating it right now) So because it didn't have that I was unable to update to when icloud was previously saved.
Instead I had to update it to an icloud that was saved a few months back. Now I lost a bunch of photos and contacts and such. I was wondering if now that I updated it to ios 9 I could update my phone so that it's like my old one.
If that makes any sense… Please help!

- Why is a different device showing up as my icloud backup? My apple ID is used for my iphone, ipad, and my friends iPhone. Usually the bottom icloud thing says "Danielle's iPad" but today I noticed it says my friends iphone. Why is it showing this and what does it mean? I don't want my friends stuff syncing to my devices and vice versa.
- Restore iPhone backup from different computer? I should be getting the iPhone 5 today at work. My current iPhone is on Mac and at work we used windows. We do not have Wi-Fi at work but I would like to restore and start to use the iPhone 5. What I was thinking of doing is backing my iPhone in iTunes and putting on a portable drive and restore it on an windows based iTunes. Will this work? I don't want to convert the iPhone to windows. I'm really just trying to figure a way to start using the new iPhone.
- Is there a way(without computer)to move my texts from my iPad to my IPhone? ICloud backup? Had to restore phone to last backup and lost texts? Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
- IPhone backup to different computer and swapping iPhones? Okay, I have an iPhone 4 that is synced with my home desktop computer, and I'm going to be selling my iPhone 4 to someone and buy an iPhone 5. But I want my iPhone 5 to be synced with my MacBook. What I want to do is have all the information on my iPhone 4 (which syncs with my home desktop) to sync on my iPhone 5 with my MacBook?
