How to update my IOS on my iphone 4?
I've looked on the apple website for help and there's a set of instructions telling me to go to settings. But when i follow the instructions i come to a dead end because there isn't an "update" option. Any ideas how i update?
You can plug your device into your computer (you must have iTunes installed) and then click on the check for updates option. IOS 7 is still in testing but you can download the BETA.
Well you can download a ios frimware you should get ios 6.1.3 you can download them from searching on internet they are all over and then open itunes with your iPhone in the computer the shift and click check for update and frag the firmware in the folder that goes in the folder and your iphone will update hope this helped
- Update stopped during ios update own iphone now phones broke I connected my iPhone 4 to my computer (iTunes) and started doing the update through iTunes. About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on. On the screen it is black with the 'charge symbol' as if it were low on battery and an iTunes symbol. I have tried turning my phone off and on, but of course it didn't respond.

- Is the iOS 6.1 update on iPhone 3 safe to update? On my first iPhone there were problems, and the update didn't help it wiped out everything and among other things had to get a new iPhone. The iPhone I have now works, so should I risk this update? It's a 3GS.
