How to update my iPhone 5 to iOS 7?

Would it be possible to update my iPhone 5 to iOS 7? I'm really not sure how to go about this, I. E I don't know what settings it is in or anything. Do I download it from the App Store? If so I can't seem to find it anywhere lol! I know a sound really silly, but please, I really don't know how to upgrade it to iOS 7.

IOS 7 doesn't come out to the public for another 5 hours once it has been released (5 hours later) simply go into Setting press General and then press Software Update it will appear there. For a countdown and time of the event in your local timezone simply go to wheniskeynote.com

(Assuming your in London in your timezone iOS 7 will be released at 5:00pm - Tuesday, September 10, 2013)

When it becomes available you can check the status when you sync your iOS device with iTunes (it'll tell you if there's an update) or on the device itself under >settings>software update. When 7 comes out, it'll ask you if you want to upgrade to it.

Once it comes out (it's not yet released) you can update 1 of 2 ways: either go into settings and update the software there or else go into itunes and update it that way.

  • Update stopped during ios update own iphone now phones broke I connected my iPhone 4 to my computer (iTunes) and started doing the update through iTunes. About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on. On the screen it is black with the 'charge symbol' as if it were low on battery and an iTunes symbol. I have tried turning my phone off and on, but of course it didn't respond.
  • New iOS 6 update, find my iPhone update? I don't like the new find my iPhone update is there a way to change back to the old find my iPhone but keep the new update? It's not showing locations like it used to and won't even how me major boroughs like Croydon. Streets are difficult to see, much smaller picture. General *** compared to the older version.
  • Is the IOS UPDATE 11.2.2 update The one that is supposed to slow down the older Apple Phones? If this is the one, I don't want that. I have an IPhone 6s+.
  • Is the iOS 6.1 update on iPhone 3 safe to update? On my first iPhone there were problems, and the update didn't help it wiped out everything and among other things had to get a new iPhone. The iPhone I have now works, so should I risk this update? It's a 3GS.
