How to use 3D maps on Apple iphone 4?

Use the built-in browser (Safari). Oh, it's slow and not comfortable? Then consider buying a non-iOS phone, as Apple will not let you use Google's map apps anymore.

Unfortunately 3D maps on the new iOS 6 is available to iPhone 4S and higher only.

However it is still only limited to a few cities, so isn't even that worthwhile yet.

  • On iPhone/apple maps, what does the man on directions mean, running or walking? - 1 When you go onto the directions bit there's the three options, the car the bus and the man, what does that man icon mean running time or walking time?
  • Old GPS or iPhone maps or google maps app? I'm going to drive from IL down to SC and I don't trust my old garmin nuvï 255 nor iphone maps lol:-) GPS update is $50 which I'm not going to spend. So has anyone used iphone maps or google maps app on long distance trips? Or I just better use old gps?
  • IPhone updated! Apple maps streetview? I was amongst the idiots who updated there iPhone and am now stuck with the mediocre apple maps! One of my fav parts of the maps previous was the streetview to see landmarks and such! Is there a way of getting this on the new maps?
  • IPhone: Google maps or default apple maps? I personally like the default maps, at least the OS 7 version. (like everyone else who had a brain, I hated the OS 6 version) Which one do you guys like more? Which is more popular now?
