How to use an iphone 4 as a internet hotspot for an ipad?
I will be buying a ipad mini and i've heard you can use an iphone to get internet on a ipad.
That's correct - navigate to the settings menu on your iPhone and you'll see a Personal Hotspot setting. Switch that to ON and you can setup your password and connect with your iPad. Hope this helps.
Well I don't know what cell phone provider you are using, but in my case I use Verizon I used to use the Iphone as a hotspot but sometimes it would take forever to display on my Wi-Fi available spots and it also drained my my Iphone battery quickly, so I added this http://shop.acnwireless.com/eCommerce/SpecialOffer.aspx?cid=34655_fd4339d14cd24ba7810e67fc41abebb6&showcustblock=true Verizon hotspot to my share everything plan it works way better than the iphone did, and I only pay $20.00 more a month, pretty cheap.
- Why does my IPad disconnect from my iPhone hotspot after brief inactivity? Both devices are on the newest iOS. I use the hotspot from my iPhone to access internet on my iPad but if I put the iPad down for a minute or two, it will lose connection and I have to turn the personal hotspot off on the iPhone and then back on again. Is it supposed to be like this? Pretty please help me.
- What use is an ipad or ipad mini to someone with an iphone and macbook? I'm thinking of getting an ipad mini or ipad 2 for someone who already has an iphone 5 and macbook pro. I don't know how useful it will be since they are not likely to use it outside of their home and i'll be getting the non 3g version so it won't be much use when they take it out anyway.

- Is it possible to connect the iPad Wi-Fi to Internet using iPhone as a Hotspot? I understand that iPad Wi-Fi don't support Cellular network. But I see that an iPhone can act as a Hotspot. So is it possible to use the iPhone as a hotspot and then connect the iPad to the internet using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi? Anyone tried this?
