How to use an iPhone with Ubuntu 12.04?
I'm getting an iPhone 3GS soon, and I'm planning on upgrading it's software to iOS 6, but I use Ubuntu Linux, not Windows or Mac… And I'm not reinstallnig Windows just to use iTunes for the iPhone.
How can I keep my songs up to date on the iPhone, and keep the software on it up to date, if I don't have Windows, and won't reinstall it (I couldn't if I wanted to, anyway; Dell sent me a reintallation disk and a utilities/drivers disk with the computer, but it doesn't have an optical drive).
You can try gtkpod. I believe Banshee and Rhythmbox worked in the past but don't currently - keep an eye on them since hopefully they'll be updated to work with iPhones soon. You might also look at Amarok.
- When you use the amazon cloud on you iphone does that use data? Okay so for Christmas I got an iphone 4s and I have music on the amazon cloud that I want to listen to on my iphone. I have to be careful with how much data I use (especially since my brother can go a bit overboard) So I was just wondering whether just listening to the music on the amazon cloud uses data or not.
- Putting music on iphone 4s using ubuntu? So i'm running ubuntu on my laptop so don't have itunes and can't get itunes on there. I'm just wandering what i can use to put music on my iphone 4s. I tried banshee but won't work with my phone although i managed to put music on my sisters ipod using it. Just wanted to know if anyone else knows what i can use to do it? And i can't reinstall windows on to it as i don't have a disc.
- If I use personal hotspot on iPhone, will it use my Wi-Fi or data plan? There are 2 computers in my house. One of them won't connect to the router. So I figure while my iPhone has Wi-Fi access, I can turn on personal hotspot and make the computer connect to the iPhones personal hotspot
- If I use my own home Wi-Fi on my iPhone will that use up my data? Ok so I got an iPhone and I only have 300 mb on it. I'm using my own Wi-Fi at home and it says that I already used 3.94 of my data. I thought that if you use your own Wi-Fi, data won't be charged. And I put my cellular data off. So is there a way to use your own Wi-Fi and not get charged?
