How to use an unlocked iphone 5 from any US carrier in india?
I live in india i'm planning to purchase an iphone 5 but i was thinking that what if i buy a locked iphone from US and then get it unlocked as a locked phone would cost around 199$ and unlocked is 549$
so i wanted to know that is it possible? And what is the process of unlocking it? Does it requires any documents to buy a locked phone?
IPhone 5 has not been officially jailbroken by any of the top iHaxors out there. Some people even say it won't be broken this year at all, but it prolly will just not for a few more months. There are some slight cracks and mods but not enough to pay for an i5 right now unless you basically want a factory model

It depends on where you get it unlocked and what carrier it is locked to. If it is AT&T there are several unlock providers offering cheap prices to factory unlock like iphoneunlockedcheap.com
Even if you buy the locked version for 200$ + you can pay 5 dollars on stock unlocks to get it unlocked… This takes upto two days… Or you can 10 dollars and get it unlocked in just 1-6 hours after paying… Once they send you the unlock code and if you follow their instructions correctly the actual unlocking takes just 2-3 minutes… And i'm not sure about the documents i'm guessing you can buy it online and get it shipped to your residence during your stay there.
