How to use iphone 3g without getting charged data
HI! I have an iphone 3g and was wondering if there was a way i could use it without getting charged data, I'm barely paying for the pone i have now without any extra charges, so is there a way i could use the iphone without getting charged? If i jailbreak it or unlock it can att still pick up that i'm using an iphone?
Added (1). Someone said i couldn't get free data, they mis-understood my question. I don't want free data, I want NO data.
There's no way to hack/root/jailbreak the phone in order to get free data.
- Will I be charged a data plan if I buy a factory unlocked iphone? I want to buy a factory unlocked iphone 4s off ebay. I currently have a 3g that's unlocked but I don't believe it's factory unlocked. If I put my sim card into this new 4s will AT&T know and add the data plan? I've heard this can happen before but is it just for people who buy factory unlocked phones through Apple or AT&T or is it for all factory unlocked phones?
- Is getting an iPhone/ S3 worth it without a data plan? My dad says I can have one if I find it for sale, but no data plan. Should I do that or just stick with a basic phone until I can get a smart phone?
- IPhone getting charged for 3G use? I just recently got an iPhone 4. I have a 2gig data plan. I use Wi-Fi whenever I can but if I don't have Wi-Fi and am therefore connected to 3G, I don't go on the Internet. However, Verizon has notified me that I have used 50% of my data package for this month. I thought using Wi-Fi made it so it DOESN'T go against my plan? Even though I don't use the Internet with the 3G, am I still getting charged for being connected to it? (With verizon)
- If I keep my data on but also use Wi-Fi will it use my data? I just got an iPhone from us cellular. I use Wi-Fi to save data, but I can't receive group messages if my data isn't on. If I keep my data on all the time, but use Wi-Fi, will it use my data? And if I keep both on will it use my Wi-Fi instead of data?
