Is getting an iPhone/ S3 worth it without a data plan?
My dad says I can have one if I find it for sale, but no data plan. Should I do that or just stick with a basic phone until I can get a smart phone?
You can't get either of those phones without a data plan. It's required by the service providers.AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile will not allow you to have a smartphone without a data plan. You can get a pre-paid iPhone or S3 from either Metro PCS for the S3 or iPhone 4S on Virgin mobile for 40 dollars a month. But the phone will be full price.

- Will getting the 1GB Data Share Plan the right choice for a iPhone with At&t? I was wondering is it a right decision to choose the 1GB data share plan, since there will be only one line on the account? I don't know if that will effect my speed or what, I'm just trying to choose the right plan for an iPhone that will be the only line.
- Is the iPhone 5s still worth getting in 2015? Is it getting obsolete? My mom might be considering on getting me an iPhone, but she said that i Can't get a 6. She might be getting me a 5s instead. I don't know when yet though. How many years will Apple support software updates? It is already almost two years old and is it still a worth getting?
- Is an Iphone worth paying 30 dollars a month for the data plan? So i'm a sophomore in college and i don't even have a smart phone. It feels like almost everyone has a iphone and feel like i'm missing out. I have an upgrade available through AT&T but my parents don't want to pay for a data plan. They said for my birthday in two weeks they are willing to get me an iphone and a year of data, and then i could just get my data plan renewed each year as my birthday gift. Do you think it is worth it? I'm thinking yes…
- If I by an iphone without getting a plan can I still download apps off the app store? I'm planning on buying an Iphone off of Ebay for my daughters birthday that is this Friday & I don't plan on actually paying for it every month or whatever she just wants to download apps for it like Kik & such. Can you download all that from the app store still if it is not turned on? Or do you need to pay for it every month in order to be able to download things?
