How to use my iphone for music and Wi-Fi in another country?
I'm travelling to Africa soon, and want to be able to use my iphone 4s for music, notes, games, and Wi-Fi so I can upload pictures and such to instagram and everything. I don't want to receive or be able to send any texts or phone calls. I don't want my phone to be roaming either, because that costs alot. How am I able to do this? What are the settings that I set my phone too?
Go to settings general usage and turn if data and roaming, also turn of any other data options
Call your operator, ask him to set a plan to get your roaming free. Keep your data usage on, on your iPhone.
Tip 1: Disable Cellular and 3G - Settings > General > Cellular > turn off Cellular and 3G use

3: As you can't go Africa with iCloud or iTunes match service, so you'd better to find a way for adding music to iPhone. The problem is, if you sync your iPhone with another iTunes library, then you'll lose all existing songs already. Here is a guide to handle with this:
