How to use my iPhone with both buttons not working? - 1
I changed the housing of my iPhone 5 to gold and now the lock button and home button don't work. I don't know why. My question is, how can I wake up my phone with both buttons not working? I ready know about plugging it in or having someone text you but I want to know if there's a way I could reprogram a button without a jailbreak. I have assistive touch enable already
So you actually took the phone apart and replaced the original case? If so, you obviously screwed up somewhere.
Why don't you reopen your iPhone and make sure you plugged everything right. If they worked before, you obviously either broke the ribbon cables or just didn't plug them back in.
Why do so many use the lock button? You can just set screen lock to come on automatically with no activity after 3 minutes, etc. You also never need to shut an iphone off, I haven't shut mine off in 2 years. (Just flip the corner switch at night if you don't want it ringing and it makes it silent, the battery does not drop when an iphone goes dormant).
- Water damage and opening iPhone 5c both puts it out of warranty, so do both? If having water damage in your iPhone 5c means you aren't covered by warranty, is it acceptable to open it and try to fix it as opening it also means it isn't covered by warranty. Therefore if you can't fix it yourself, apple can still take it out of warranty?
- Volume buttons not working iPhone 4S? So basically there's a problem with my phone where the volume buttons won't work, bu this I mean that I can't watch videos or listen to music without my earphones. It responds to my click on the button but it just comes up with the speaker and not the volume actually turning up/down.
