How will I play my DVD movies if DVD players become obsolete?
Most of my movies are on Amazon or iTunes or some digital format but I have some DVDs that I have not been able to find in digital format--Cats, The Three Lives of Thomasina, Fantasia. I have those on DVD and I have a CD/DVD drive in my laptop computer but my next computer won't have the drive so how would play the movies on my computer. Right now I hook up my laptop to a large screen and watch. What happens in the future?
Buy a portable DVD player. They are really inexpensive.
I believe it will be a long time before they are obsolete. Besides even if they did youd still find them around yard sales and pawn shops n thrift stores etc for hardly anything
I have not had any issues finding blu-ray players that ALSO play DVD's. Just watch the labeling very carefully.
Also, if DVD players do eventually become obsolete, there will probably be someone offering to transfer DVD copies into digital format for people who need it. (when VHS players become obsolete, there were services that offered to transfer VHS to DVD for a small fee.)
- Will iOS5 become obsolete soon? So I'm planning to buy a second hand iPhone 3Gs and I'll probably have it on iOS6 already. But I want to know how long apple will keep supporting iOS5/6 so that this phone doesn't go useless.
- Why is my iPhone 3g obsolete? I have had this phone for quite some time, and I understand they want you to get the iphone 4 or 5 but I don't really have the money or want to spend it on a new one when my old one works as far as calls and texting etc… But no apps work, one by one they are starting to fail, won't load, etc. I had instagram since I got my phone and it stopped working and I'm very annoyed with Apple!
- Why can't I sync the DVD videos( or movies) to my iphone 5 iTunes to play? I also know I may need something to help me. So I go to the site and download the latest format factory. Then I try to install on my computer and load the dvd disks.However, I can't be able to transfer the dvd videos to my iphone 5. How should this happen? I'm really feel puzzled. Anyone can help me to solve this problem?
- When will the iPhone 4S become obsolete? I was wondering when the iPhone 4S will become truly obsolete. I can't afford a new model, so considering that it will be supporting the new iOS 8, how long should it take for Apple to stop pushing updates to it and seize production of this model?
