How would you react if your 12year old daughter had a Christmas list like this?

Her list:
$60 eyeshadow palette
$45 face primer
Michael kors purse and watch
$100 Hollister gift card
Victoria secret sweatpants
New iPhone

First she is 12 she don't need none of that what you should get her is clothes and shoes

I'd stick her in a canon and shoot her into a steel wall.

I'd tell her 'lol'… But she'd know me and would expect that.

We don't buy expensive electronics for the holidays (they have to work & save for theirs). And we don't buy costly designer clothes and cosmetics (though they are free to work and save up and buy what they want in that way as well, unless they get lucky and I spot good jeans at a thrift shop or on sale somewhere). So they don't expect these kinds of things from us.

For holidays they always get a book & pjs, then clothes/accessories, board games/puzzles, art supplies/hobby stuff, tickets to something like a show or to take a class or something, or movies (though we've gone digital and don't really buy DVDs anymore).

It would be a shock to me bc I don't have any kids that I know of. LOL. To answer your question, I'd react like Charlie Brown when Sally asked in a Dear Santa letter for "tens and twenties." You can pick one item on the list but probably not the smart phone. I'm an adult and do not have an iphone.

It would depend on if she expects everything on the list or just one or two items.
If she wanted everything I would be shocked. If she only wants one or two I would not be alright with it.

I would kick my own *** for allowing her to become so spoiled and materialistic.

I'd be ashamed I'd created such a materialistic spoiled brat!

She didn't' just end up like that, she learned it from her parent of the same gender!
