I backed up my iPhone - where are my pictures and contacts stored?

I have an iPhone 5 and backed it up to my computer (Windows, not Mac) and iTunes says the last backup was completed today so I know it's finished. I'm going to do the newest iOS software update and I'm terrified about losing my pictures and contacts because I always hear people saying it happened to them. I've never done a software update for this reason. So my question is, where are my pictures and contacts stored on my computer? I want to make sure they are there just in case things get deleted on my phone!

First do the update. Then if you r updating it via computer be aware you have a higher risk by updating using the PC. So update it via phone then when its done if you lost your items then plug it into iTunes then it will take you to it then it might say " Welcome to your iPhone" below it it will say start as a new phone or Last backup then click last backup then it will start backing up. Then done its back to normal

IPhone backup file location in Windows 8 is at:

Users>USERNAME>AppData>Roaming>Apple Computer>MobileSync>Backup

In Windows 7 and Vista, iPhone backup files are stored at:

C:\Users\uer\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

Windows XP stores all of your iPhone backup files at:

C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Bckup

But they are encoded. You need use an tool to extract pictures and contacts from iTunes backup files.

  • How to Delete all the stored files and data of snapchat through my iphone 5s. Ios8? I tried searching the web but was not able to get the solution to it.
