IPhone 6 is outdated idiot

Apparently this phone still has a year's worth of payments on s contract left on it. Whoever sold it to you never paid off their contract. Get your money back and give them their phone. You can't unlock it. You could not activate it with a new carrier since the original company will designate it as stolen - the original contract holder does not have it, and they are still owed money.

Iphone unlocks are only done by Apple, they send an update directly to the phone.

That unlock request to Apple can only be made by the service provider the the phone is linked to.

You have to wait.
There are no "codes" or genuine alternate unlock systems though scammers will claim there are to take money off you…

Assuming you bought the phone directly from StraightTalk, you can have it unlocked either a) when it's totally paid for or b) after one year of service… Whichever is LATER.

So, if you bought the phone upfront, you can have it unlocked after a year. Simply call StraightTalk Customer Service and they'll do it for you over the phone. (Might be possible on their website, too)

UPDATE: See link for TracFone policy for unlocking (StraightTalk is part of TracFone. If you want to unlock it sooner than that, there are online services that can do that for you, but you have to pay for it. If using these services, READ THE SMALL PRINT.

  • SimCard Activation for United States? I live in Canada and I'm planning to go to New York, My plan was to bring my phone device over there however I didn't want to do a international plan with my phone company as they are TOO EXPENSIVE! I wanted to get a "Pay As You Go" or "Cheap" plan with a SimCard just for ONE WEEK. Does anyone know which carrier I can do this with? And who supports the new IPhone 5 or IPhone in general? Also the phone company I'm with now is FIDO. Any suggestions?
  • SIM card from carrier not supported under the activation policy? I have an iphone passed down to me when the original owner upgraded. (its legal right?) I had my SIM card cut down size and now the phone tells me the SIM is not valid. The first owner was on contract with a company which is different to mine. Mine is EE. What do I do? I'm sure i'm not doing anything illegal.
