Then you have the receive server settings incorrect.

Apple defaults to IMAP email, if your provider is using POP, IMAP doesn't work. Also, some providers are using strange port numbers to cut down on spam senders the wrong port number will also cause it to fail.

Spent a few hours with Apple to no avail.

Your iPhone and computer eMail have to be mated through iCloud. They must be looking at the same information. Install the Cloud app.

Mail accounts in iPhone Settings General Open your Mail Account, Then when you fine your Mail settings Delete your Mail account from Your Phone. Next turn off your Phone. Next wait 3 minuets, Next Turn on Your Phone. Next open General settings and open Mail accounts. Next recreate your Mail Account over again. Next close General and send Mail as always. You Might of gotten a few to many Poor java cookies.

So IIm texting my friend with iMessage ( we both have iPhones ) and I just started texting someone who doesn't have an iPhone and when I try to send them a message it ll take so long and it ll even say message failed it bugs like what the heck sprint.

I can send messages via iMessage but not via Text Message. I found out that it for some reason was turned to off but it still won't send text messages after i turned it on. I have an iPhone 5, and i was texting my friends (who also have iPhones) and my messages send to them as text messages (not iMessages) but their texts don't come through to me. I have a macbook air and have my phone number hooked up to messages, so i can receive the messages there, but not my actual phone.
