I can't connect to internet?
Okay so me and my sister both have iPhones, and they work fine. My dad has a computer, and that works. My sister has a laptop, and that works too. Everything connects to the Internet except my laptop.
It's not just the internet though. I can't go on anything, not even paint!
Where the internet icon is on the bottom, it's a red square with an 'X' on the bottom of the square.
To play sims, I have to left click and click 'troubleshoot compatibility'.
This doesn't work with anything else.
When I click on paint or the internet, it says 'these files can't be opened. Your internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened'
But I didn't set my settings like that or anything. Any ideas?
Do these in order, you can stop if/when the problem goes away.
#1 disable antivirus
#2 open control panel, click internet options. Last tab has a reset button, press and let it.
#3 get and run combofix, allow it to restart your PC. (Put it onto your PC via USB)
#4 start a command prompt as Administrator and type in "sfc /scannow" without the quotes
#5 allow to finish. Now get and run Rogue Killer. (Put it onto your PC via USB)
#6 search google for Tweaking.com's Windows Repair, download and run. Check all options, this will take a long time to finish. (Put it onto your PC via USB)
#7 still nothing? Create a new user profile and try switching to a clean user.

I'm at the hoteo now and I had to see a Connect to Wi-Fi page before I can go to any site I want.
What OS do you have on the laptop? Is it Wi-Fi? What browser are you using?
Just check your Wi-Fi or LAN card drivers…
- Why won't my xbox 360 connect to the internet but will connect to my iphone hotspot? Ill play cod bo2 almost daily and my xbox will connect to my mobile hotspot on my iphone 4s fine, but out of no where it will lag out and disconnect me from xbox live, its not a hardware issue everything connects normally, full bars and everything the phone still lets me get on the internet, but my xbox will not, why D:?
- Why can't I connect to the Internet? I got a new android tablet and every time I try to connect to the Internet it won't work. I tried to to connect it to my Internet at home. I put in the correct IP address but it loads for around five minutes and says unsuccessful. I tried to connect it to my personal hot spot on my iPhone but it says it's not in range even though my phone is right beside it. Does anyone know anything I can do about it?
- Why can't i connect to internet? I had to reset my pc to factory settings recently and now i can't connect to internet. I had a cd which enabled me to get the net in the past but i lost this and now i have no clue how to get it on. I have no idea about drivers etc so any help in simple terms would be appreciated. I have wireless virgin broadband and my laptop is working and iphones etc so it is my pc that i don't know how to set up

Ok so my iphone 4s will not connect to the internet there's nothing wrong with my router because the internet on my laptop is working fine it's been like this for a whlie now i think its a bug because i download update 6.1.2 and it has been not working since then.
