I can't unlock my old iPhone?
Last Christmas I got a new iPhone 5c so I put my iPhone 4 just locked up in a cabinet but my girlfriend has a crappy LG so I was going to give her my old phone but when I got it out it said disabled and won't let me do anything! Is it because I haven't used it in a while or what because I thought if you got a new phone the carrier just switched over but you could still use it like an iPod touch kind of? So any advice helps, please and thank you!

- Old iPhone with old sim card? Mum just got a new iPhone, so gave her old one to my sister. My sister did not have an appropriate sized sim card, so they guy at the store cut it down. Mum's new sim card is working, but when we put my sisters in the old phone, it just keeps saying no service. What do we do? Can we use it or not?

I've called Apple and sent a receipt for proof of purchase, but they said it's invalid, because the SN doesn't match which doesn't make sense. Is there another way to just erase everything off the phone myself?
