I don't often get angry but when I do it's not pretty?

I'm a 19 years old happy go lucky person, I like everybody, every positive, easy going and always happy. Yes I do get irritated sometimes but I just brush it out, when I deal with negative people I always laugh it off or always trying to find positive side of it. So I don't get angry much, my peers never see me get angry yet. But when I do I got really aggressive, will literary throw anything I can reach or what i have in my hand to that person. My anger is pretty explosive but the moment i calm down I felt horrible, like just few days ago I threw My iphone against the wall and it's all smash. Now i felt horrible because it's not cheap and i leave a giant mark on the wall (not pretty). I fear that i would hurt someone in spite of anger. I want and need to know a way to control my anger it's just not pretty.

My take is this:

There's a part of you that is 'deeper' than your ego-mind thoughts. That deeper part that can 'watch' the ego-mind 'games' is the *real* you. It's Awareness; it's Consciousness.

You sort of have to allow that deeper Awareness part of you, well, be aware of those 'warning signs' that a violent angry outburst is rising on the horizon. The deeper part of you can shut that off just like flipping a light switch off.

I suppose you need to take a few quiet minutes and let your awareness understand what is causing these rare but violent outbursts. If you can find the cause, you can 'release' those anger thought-patterns.
