I dropped my iPhone 5c in a bowl of water?

I dropped my iPhone in a bowl of water and grabbed it out and dried it off in like 2 seconds. I don't have any rice but I put it in a bowl of cat littler bc Google said that works too but I was wondering how long I should leave it in? It still worked but had a few lines running down the screen like it was glitching bc of the water damage. Will it work if I leave it in the cat litter for long enough?

Cat litter doesn't reverse damage

  • Will or work if I put my iPhone in a rice bowl after a month of it getting wet? About a month ago my phone got sweat on the screen or it was too humid and hot and so the screen turned white with vertical lines on it but after 10 minutes it would go back to normal and now it does the same thing every morning. Will it still work to put it in a rice bowl?

  • I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
