My son dropped my iphone 5s in the dog bowl what's the best way to dry it out?
I have removed the back and dried it the best i could with a kitchen cloth
it still works but the screen goes fuzzy after a few seconds
i have it in a box of rice atm and intend to leave it there for a day or so
any other advice?
The second you turned it on to see if it worked was the second you probably permanently destroyed components in it.
It needs to be left off for a minimum 72 hours in a warm place in the box of rice and then see if it works. Chances are you have a paperweight though.
If the phone is still operational, which it likely is, iPhones are tough. You should rub it down with a towel, and then stick it deep into a bowl of dry rice and leave it there for 2-4 Days and then rub off with a towel again.
Keep the replacement out of your son's hands.
Get a new phone and if it must be another iPhone, keep it away from children and water bowls.
