I dropped my iPhone 6 in the toilet last night
I dropped it in the toilet late last night maybe around midnight and right away I dried it off and took everything off (the case) and it turned bavk on after a couple minutes and was working perfect then I went to sleep and when I woke up onky a few hkurs kater it wouldnt turn on at all. I blew into all the small holes and now i'm trying the whoke rice thing but based on what other people are saying that doesn't work! What do I do?!
Sorry, but it's history.
Stop making selfies of you and your toilet.
While DRY rice can be used as a desiccant, silica gel works 1000 times better, and can be reused.
The thing you must do is place the phone and all parts that got wet, in an AIRTIGHT container with the silica gel or rice for 72 hours at the bare minimum. Not a couple of hours, not over night, 72 HOURS. This allows the desiccant time to absorb any evaporating moisture from the device and NOT the surrounding air in the room.
Once in the desiccant in the airtight container, you do not touch or test the device for the entire 72 hours. When you do remove it, you check to see if there's still any water inside the device, if there's, you do entire process over, until you do not detect any moisture BEFORE turning on the device.
If the water had salt or chlorine (bleach) in it, you take the phone to a cell phone repair shop that deals with water damage and you let them know that this was Salt Water or Pool/Washing Machine bleach in the water so they can deal with it properly to avoid the insides of the phone from corroding.
- My iPhone 5, won't let me play a certain song that I played last night? It won't won't let me play it or delete it. It just skips it. I tried turning my phone on sleep mode twice. It did that with the note app, it just would randomly erase my notes. It started wroking again today, but now my music! If i press the home button and the power button at the sane time, will that erase all my content?
- My iPhone 4S Lost Internet Connection Last Night? -When I Press On "Safari (Internet)" It Says "Safari can't open this page because your iPhone is not connected to the internet." It Happened last night and i don't know what to got too. I've went to general and cellular data(on)/ Enable 3G(on). I Have Turned It Off Twice That Didn't Help… I Also Have Service Bars But No Internet. What Should I Do? The Bill Is Paid for -I've Already Reset My Network Settings
- Master reset my iPhone 4 last night and its still not done? I erased all my data and settings last night because I'm selling it today. When I reset it, it went to the apple logo and then to the spinner that comes up when it dies. I can't hard reset it because the lock button is stuck.iTunes nor my MacBook will recognize it so I can't try to fix it through iTunes. I tried connecting it to my wall charger as well, nothing. Still spinning 8 hours later… And I've read it's supposed to only take 15 mins at most.
- Last night, my one-month-old iPhone 6s alarm went off at 2:33 AM? I, in no possible way, set an alarm for 2:33 AM. I woke up confused, and snoozed the alarm. I went into my clock, and sure enough, there was a set alarm for 2:33 that I never created. Has this ever happened to you?
