I dropped my iPhone in snow?

I dropped it in the snow and didn't pick it up until a minute later. It fell upside down, vertically (sorry if that doesn't make sense). So only the top of the phone (power button, volume buttons, camera) were actually in the snow. It works fine but should I still put it in rice? Or will it be okay?

Added (1). I had a phone case on it that covered the power and volume buttons.

It's going to be OK. The snow probably didn't melt enough to allow water to get inside the phone where it can cause damage. Having the case around the phone also helped. If it's working OK now, it will continue to work OK.

It should be fine, especially since only the top of the phone was dropped in the snow, not the headphone jack or charging port. Even if the whole phone touched the snow, a minute probably isn't long enough to cause any damage. If you notice any water or fogging in either of the two cameras, put the phone in rice.

Snow won't do any damage as long as
none of it gets inside the phone and melts.

  • Remove DRM from itunes (Mac OSX Snow Leopard)? I moved from an Iphone to a galaxy nexus. Almost everything I bought on Itunes refuses to transfer due to DRM. I've tried Requiem to no success, FairPlay didn't work either. I don't have a ton of CDs sitting around so is there another way to remove this? I also do not want to spend $35 on some of this software that allows a "free trial" for songs less than 3 minutes long. Please Help. Apple is a cruel cult that is trying to suck me back in

  • Iphone dropped in the snow? Won't turn on? So my mom dropped her iPhone 4 in the snow at about noon (it's 5 now) and all day it worked then it slowly lost all sound. And now it will not even turn on. We can't just run to the apple store or Att store cuz there's not one around. Her phone is in rice right know. I'm hoping it will work when she goes to work.
