I dropped my iphone in the sink. Its still works. How long should i keep it in rice?

it was fully submerged for about 2 seconds
I had an otterbox defender prob why it still works
How long before i take it out of rice
I've heard many people mention this rice technique and it should be in there for 24-48 hours. However, a better alternative would be to use those small silica gel packets you find randomly in some products. You can get these in the kitty litter aisle at a store.

It was there for no more than five minutes and it works fine, I had it in rice for ten minutes (doubt it did any good lol) should I keep it in the rice if it works fine?
