I dropped my iPhone in the toilet and put it in rice
I took it out of the rice about 45 minutes later and tried to turn it on but then it start to sizzle does that mean it's done?
What the sizzle means, is that your phone's motherboard is fried. I'd recommend stepping away from the device, unless you'd like a stump where your hand used to be. Putting your phone in rice will not stop it from killing the phone, as it only absorbs surface moisture, and an iPhone does not have a removable battery compartment. I apologize, but your cellular device shall play no more games.
You need to leave the phone in the rice like 72 hours, you killed your phone for sure, done.
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- I dropped my iphone on the ground in the rain and it still works, should I still put it in rice? It's been thundering the past week and I dropped my phone on my driveway. It was there for no more than five minutes and it works fine, I had it in rice for ten minutes (doubt it did any good lol) should I keep it in the rice if it works fine?
- I dropped my iphone in water so i put it in rice overnight then it worked fine But this morning i went to charge it, and there was rice in the charger hole. I got the rice out but now my phone won't charge.
- I dropped my iphone in water, and I don't have rice? The only thing that seems to be off is that I can't hear the clicking of typing when the sound is on and when I use the volume button, it just says ringer and doesn't show how loud my phone is… Everything else seems to be fine Can I use something besides rice?
