I dropped my iPhone in water and now 'no service
So I dropped my iPhone 4s (yes old phone whatever) in the toilet but got it out almost immediately, dried it and sanitised it and whatever. Everything worked fine but then it keeps saying 'searching' And 'no service'. I've tried EVERYTHING. Rebooting. Turning of. Toggle airplane mode. Reset network. I don't know what to do. Can I fix this?
It sounds like either the sim card or a connection to it is damaged.
It is possible that it still is not completely dried if it's been less than a week. Otherwise it could be permanently damaged. All you can do is try to wait it out or buy an used one on eBay if you don't want to spend the money on something new.
Well then, it dosen't work fine, now does it? - pitch it, buy a working phone. Check your sim card, as you might need a new one of those too.
I'd take it into an Apple Store & see what's what.
Yeah that is most likely as a result of the water damage. More likely than not, it can't easily be fixed. It may cost more to fix than what the phone is worth.
It's broken.
- I spilt some water on my iPhone and now there's now volume control whatsoever? It won't turn up for calls or music, I press the buttons and nothing shows up. I tried to do it on the screen when I opened my music but the volume isn't there at all. How can I fix it?
- I dropped my iphone5s in water and it was fine but now my homebutton won't work? This morning i drpooed my phone in water pulled it out quickly then dried it off and it worked great then 20 minutes ago i got home and my ome button did not work so i don't now if it is water damage of if it is because i have the 5s and the home buttoons are sentisitve oh and i did buy inssurance
- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
- I dropped my iPhone in water and now the screen won't turn on what should i do? It seems like the phone is still working because it still makes noise when I touch the buttons and my alarm still went off this morning but the screen is completely black. It is in rice now but is that still the best solution if everything is working except my screen? And I know I'm supposed to turn it off but I can't because the screen won't work.
