I dropped my Iphone in water, how can i fix it?

I had my iPhone 4s in my backpocket and when i went to use the restroom, it fell out and into the toilet. I took it out within seconds, and made sure to put it in a bag of rice so it could absorb the water. I left it in there for about 4 hours. Everytime I plugged it into my computer and it vibrates, also my itunes still recongnizes it when i plug it in, does that mean it still works? Also, i have warranty, but i jailbroke my phone a few months ago, so i don't know if the warranty still works, help?

I've heard that if you put it in rice the rice will soak up the water just leave the phone in the rice for a while and check it again.

Ti read on the apple website to go to the store, and That the warranty doesn't cover if the red dot appears. so can i fix this on my own? Please Help! I need the phone to do my job. And i don't have the time or the money to get it to the store and pay for this.
  • I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?

This happened about five minutes ago. How do I dry it off and get the speaker to work without damaging the phone?
  • I dropped my iPhone 4s in water, what can I do? When I dropped it, I took it out immediately and dried it before putting it in rice but I didn't learn that I needed to turn it off until I got home about 2 hours later, so it's off now. Before I turned it off though, the sound was working perfectly fine and the screen could still be seen but very very faintly. Does anyone know what has happened or anything I can do to fix it because I believe apple doesn't cover water damage?
