I dropped water on my iphone 4s, and it won't charge?
It seemed to be working fine, so I didn't even bother to take off the Otterbox cover at first, but no it wouldn't charge, so I took it off, and it was soaked.
I put it in rice just a few minutes ago.
My question is: I know it's probably a battery problem; should I just replace the battery? Should I take the battery out and put both in rice separately? Should I leave the battery inside and leave the phone inside for 48 hours or whatever? What should I do?
Added (1). (Or is it a problem with the charging port? What should I look into replacing?)
Take the battery out of the phone and leave it in dry rice overnight don't leave it in, the sane thing happened to me with mine and I put the battery and phone separately in a bag of dried rice and it worked fine although I did this as soon as I dropped it in water so I'm not her how yours will hold up. Sorry
I also dropped water on my phone but it can charge. It just doesn't make any noise. I have everything turned on for the noise but the noise still doesn't work
Probably the charge port. Or the battery. Worst case scenario the charge port contact on the board, which is not fixable
It's probably an issue with the charging port. Hard to know without looking at it but that's the most likely issue.
- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
- I dropped my iPhone in water and now the screen won't turn on what should i do? It seems like the phone is still working because it still makes noise when I touch the buttons and my alarm still went off this morning but the screen is completely black. It is in rice now but is that still the best solution if everything is working except my screen? And I know I'm supposed to turn it off but I can't because the screen won't work.
- I dropped my iphone in water and now it won't turn on? I dropped my Iphone 4 In the water, I tried to turn it on by pressing both the home and the power button at the same time. The apple loggo started to glow but then it turned off and now I can't turn it on again. Is there any way I can make it work again or should I just buy a new one?
- I dropped my iphone in water and it won't turn on? I dropped my iphone in the toilet about 3 hours ago and right after i picked it up from the water, i put it in rice. The phone turned off by itself and about a few minutes ago i went to check and my phone was hot. So i'm wondering if i should keep it in the rice or do something else?
