I feel so bad, thought i would be able to pay for everything on my own?

So i feel bad, i'm 19 and my parents pay for everything even though i have a job. But of course i'm in school. I work part time ( my schedule changes every week, so my hours change alot!) i get under way $300 month. They pay for my iphone(i.e: phone bill and the phone when i got it) my gas for my car, they paid for my car and i only pay half my insurance. BUT my co worker get $600 a month… Maybe just cause i'm semi new i not schedule to work as much? I should be able to pay for more things being 19 but my dad doesn't let me since he doesn't want all my money to go to all my bills. He said save some money for myself which is nice. But also said they will pay for everything if i keep going to school and aslong as i'm in it which is good. But i just feel bad i can't pay for half of my things you know? I plan As soon as possible after i get my Bachelors to try to find a job at kaiser so i can save up move out etc…

should i feel so bad? How old were you when you paid for everything or mostly everything but still lived at home?

and yes i know its hard to survive on your own with out your parents and i know some kids that go to college and doesn't have a job AT All and parents pay for everything…

News flash you're in school and you have difficulties working, so saving your money will help you far down the road trust me if your parents are willing to splurge on you let them.

Well I'll be honest, paying for everything really isn't all its cracked up to be. I'm 19 guy, and i work full time, as i didn't quite get the score i was looking for in school, and i pay all my bills, bought my car, pay my registration and insurance, there isn't anything my parents pay for me, and its really not that great. It does make you feel more independent, as i can buy whatever i want whenever i want, but its also painful knowing that for every dollar i save, most of it goes to bills, and all the other kids my age have more money in the bank than I do, and they only work two days a week, while i work 10 hours a day, 6 days a week.

Try putting your foot down and just telling them your paying for "insurance" this year (as an example), and slowly take more responsibility onto your shoulders, and lean less on them. Slowly they will respect you for it, and it will make you grow up as a person. Just don't be like me, and depend only on yourself, as sometimes things pop out of no-where and blow your whole plan to sh*t.

I know EXACTLY how you feel TRUST ME and I started working from home… Usually you only start out at $100 per day but its better than nothing lol here's their most recent job listing:
