I FREAKIN DROPPED MY IPHONE IN MY BATHTUB
I was taking a stupid bath and I was using my iphone and i accidentally dropped it and I immediately dried it with my towel and now the AUDIO IS MESSED UP!
So basically I can still listen to things like music with my earphones and without my earphones I can't listen to anything anymore? Like the audio from youtube videos or from anything just doesn't work without a freaking earphone and I'm so sad how do I FIX THIS Please
Don't use your replacement while in the bath next time
Use a bowl of dry rice to dry it out.
Rice is a desiccant. A terrible one at that. And if you don't have a good desiccant on hand when you drop the phone, it's too late to use it.
A good desiccant is Sillica Gel. You can get that from Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/...mozilla-20 You want indicating so you know when to read the instructions on how to dry it in your oven). I just checked on line at Target and Walmart. Both say they have it. I have seen it at my local warehouse store. You can also get it from many flower shops as people use it to dry them to keep them around long term.
To reuse it, they start as blue and usually turn pink. Then you spread it out on a cookie sheet and heat it in your oven for a hour. That turns it blue again.

- Just dropped Iphone 6 into bathtub full of water? Its working perfectly fine, taking photos, playing music etc and is sitting in rice now. Just wondering if there will be any side effects to my phone. Was only in the bath tub for about 7 seconds.
- Iphone Damage? I just dropped my iPhone? I just dropped my iPhone and I'm worried I damaged it. I have a casemate case on it and I just dropped it on the wood floor. I don't see any damage, there are no cracks or visible damage, and the screen still works fine. But I'm still worried. Is there anything I should check or any damage I might have? - I dropped my iphone in the bathtub I took it out of the water immediately but the screen turned black before I could power it down. Right now it is in a tupperware container full of rice. Is there anything I can do further to save my precious phone?
