I got my iPhone 5 wet and it was never on. Will it be okay?
I put it in a bag of rice and like 15 minutes later took out the sim card. Should I take out the battery as well? Since it was off when it got wet, will there be any damage?
Added (1). If I leave it in for 48 hours, will there be any damage?
It really doesn't matter much whether it was on or off, water can still get in, and still takes a while to evaporate, and water could still cause a short circuit unless the battery was 100% dead.
Leave it in rice at least 24 hours, 48 hours if you can stand it.
Don't worry about taking out the battery unless you know how to do that without causing damage.

Let it dry for some time maybe 12 hours or so? And after that try turning it on. You can also use a hair dryer to give it a little bit of heat. I did this when one of phones got wet because of rains.

- My mom and i got the same phone and same plan yet her internet loads all the time and mine never does? Two iPhone 7+. Same unlimited data plan. Yet literally no matter where I'm, nothing that uses data loads unless I'm connected to Wi-Fi. Yet my mom's internet loads no matter where she is. It's even happened that we're in the same place trying to load the same thing and hers loads while mine doesn't. Yes, I have my data turned on. I've made sure all my data settings are identical to my mom's. So i really don't know what could be causing this.
