I got some water on my iPhone 5?
So I was washing my hands and my phone was near the sink. I looked over at it and noticed some water on it. I quickly washed the rest of the soap off my hands and dried what I could off the phone with a bath towel.
It seemed to be working fine and I used it for about 5 mins but then when I played a song, the music sounded like crap. It wasn't as loud and sounded bad.
I then turned it off, took off the case, and tried to dry more of what I could. About 10 minutes later I got my hands on some rice and put it in a container of uncooked rice. I'm going to leave it for a day.
Are there any other recommendations to help it? Do you think it's damaged? If I had to get it repaired by Apple, how much would it cost?
Keep it off. Take the battery out. Put it in a bag of dry rice for a couple of hours.
If you have the extended warranty with your carrier then they should replace it, or the insurance.
- Will my iPhone work? It got some water inside? My iPhone got a bit of water inside and it's turning itself on and off all the time. It wasn't that much water though, The battery is quite low and I'm using it as alarm clock… Worrying now that I shouldn't charge it and I won't wake up in the morning withought it. Will it be OK if I wait a couple of hours and then try to charge it or will it damage it even more?

It has been sitting in rice for awhile and I took it out, it happened to work but now when I turn it on, I hit the button to turn the screen on so I can use it, and it automatically turns black. I hear the music playing but the screen keeps shutting off on me! How can I fix my phone? Could I put it in the freezer for awhile?
