I got water spilled on my iPhone and did the rice trick a little later than usual?
So I woke up at around 4 AM this morning to use the restroom, then came back to notice a wet floor. On it was my phone, and I didn't freak because I thought I could just wipe it off. I took a look at the screen and my phone was starting up for some reason. I saw the apple, and then it left me with a blank, dark, screen. It was on, but it was just… Blank.
So anyways, I wiped it as good as I could, thinking that later it would be better. I tried charging it, all that crazy stuff, because I didn't really know what could do the trick. Still nothing.
I went back to bed and woke up at 7 for school and my phone was still blank. On, but a blank screen, like I said. Throughout the day at school I was contemplating how to fix it. Wait for it to die, maybe. Then charge it.No. Not good enough. When I drove back from school at 4:00, I was about to do the rice thing. But my mom held me up and made me do chores. When I finished at 5 Immediately I grabbed a ziplock, filled it with dry rice, and buried my phone in it. I thought a good addition would be to add it in sunlight, so I set it down on the table on our patio and it's been sitting there for about good two hours now. It wasn't baking, thought. The heat was pretty moderate today.
Do you think it could still work?
In the factory the electronics is normally cleaned with a water based product, and allowed to dry, so if you just give it plenty of time to dry, it will probably be OK. Turning it on while it is still wet inside is not a good idea, however, not necessarily a deal breaker. The water inside needs time to dry out completely, and might take several days, but don't leave it inside that plastic bag. If it was me, I would shake it moderately to see if any water comes out, and would just put it in my desk drawer and forget about it for a week. I hope it starts working again and wish you good luck with this.

- Why has my iPhone been using more data than usual? I have a 2GB data plan that i have never overaged on. I moved to a different state for college, and after using my phone for a couple weeks here, i'm already nearing 4GB of data. I'm not using it any differently, just how i did at home. I used 1 GB of data in a period of 7 hours. Could someone please explain how this is possible? I have spoken to Verizon and Apple, who both were of no assistance.
