I had to restore my iphone and lost all my pictures?

I have a iphone 6+ and i forgot my passcode and I had to restore my phone, but when i got my phone back everything was deleted! I think i have my pictures in my icloud but i'm not sure how to restore them.

Well of course your pictures were deleted. I'm pretty sure that it told you in iTunes that you'll loose everything. If your pictures are in iCloud, they'll pop up in your Photos application once you sign in to the iCloud account that the pictures are on.

Thats what "restoring" does, so yes I would expect them to be deleted.

  • Lost all my contacts, messages, and pictures on my iPhone, can I get it back? I got a new iPhone for Christmas and haven't synced it at all with the iTunes on my computer until now. When I synced it, it asked if I wanted to restore the information from my iPod, or start it as a new iPhone. I thought the restore option would just carry over all my songs, but now I've lost all my contacts, messages, and pictures I had on my iPhone and it looks exactly like my iPod does. Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
