I have an old iPhone 3GS that is disabled?
There's no way I can connect to iTunes because I synced it on an ex's computer and it will not allow me to do it on my own. Is there ANY way I can enable this phone either without a computer or can AT&T or iPhone employees be able to enable it? I don't have service on it as I have an iPhone 4.
Well I'm just gonna take a shot in the dark here as more info is needed. My guess is your iphone says something like connect to itunes or it has that little pic of connecting to itunes.
I would try putting it into DFU mode, simple google search will show you or youtube, after that hook it up to a computer and let itunes do its thing. You will need a computer, the only way AT&T can help or Apple is if they use their computer. They will be hesitant as this could be a breach of the policy, I would just say you bought it for your sister (Or any family member) and need it ready to use a sim card because the birthday is tomorrow ect or something along those lines.
If it has a password lock on it you'll need your own PC and use the DFU trick.
- Old iPhone with old sim card? Mum just got a new iPhone, so gave her old one to my sister. My sister did not have an appropriate sized sim card, so they guy at the store cut it down. Mum's new sim card is working, but when we put my sisters in the old phone, it just keeps saying no service. What do we do? Can we use it or not?
