I have an old Iphone 3rd generation how do i get it to update?
I don't use it as an iphone anymore Its just an ipod but I can't get it to up date to the ios 5.It doesn't say I need an update but I do. I can't get any apps on it because all the apps I want need the update! Please someone help!
Did you try connecting it to Mac/PC and attempting an update through iTunes?
When iPhones and iPods get too old Apple closes them out of the loop. This means that you have to buy a later version of their iOS device if you want to continue getting updates. You could also consider jailbreaking your iPhone if you wanted to tweak things such as themes and plug-ins. If you have any questions just ask.
IOS 5 requires iPhone 3GS or newer. It won't run on the iPhone 3G. You can't get it to update.
