I have and iphone, and i'm not getting notified when someone texts me (imessage or text message)?
First i turned off my phone and then i tried turning the notifications of the messages off and on i did the the same thing with imessage (turned it off and on) help please? What do i do?
Text them back
Make sure your cellular data and normal settings are on. Try texting yourself with your own phone and wait a few minutes for a response. If nothing happens, call yourself from another cell phone and everything should resolve itself. All of your missed texts and calls should start popping up.
This used to happen to me in my 4S. I would be tinkering around with my settings and accidentally "freeze" my phone and wouldn't receive anything from anybody for hours. I tried every setting, reset, etc. Available and it didn't work. Then I tried calling myself from another cell and all of my texts came flooding in, lol.

Hi, I'm getting a little annoyed and was wondering if there was a way to send a message as a text message to another iPhone user without turning iMessage off. I'm getting confused because my friend has an iPhone like me but her iMessage is turned off and mine is turned on so when I text her it sends as an iMessage so she doesn't get it… Is there a way to fix this? My friend is at a festival and they left their iPhone at home and took a cheap phone with him that still uses the same number, they text me earlier but my message was an iMessage so he would of received it on his iPhone but not his phone he had with him. Anyone know how I can send a message just to his number?
