I Have Bought an iPhone 4s and now there's a scratch on it can i return it still?

I Recently about this phone just to test out if i like Apples Products turns out I do. I intentionally purchased this phone 2 weeks before the iPhone 5's release to see if i wante it. I do want it and going to try and return it tomorow. But as I was polishing it up I noticed a scratch about an half of an inch long and you can only see it when the light reflects off of it. It is on the back the phone is black. So now i'm not sure if verizon will take the phone back? Would they? Or will they not? Its a very light strait scratch in the top right of the phone again its on the back. Does anyone know or encountered this problem?

Added (1). I have been playing with it… Does it matter if i have used it or not during the 14 return policy?

I don't think that it would matter, but if they find any reason that it was used, they might not take it back, or charge you for a restocking fee. If you bought this phone under a contract, you might be forced to wait until the contract is over.
