I have lost my IPhone 4, so I have complained to the Police along with IMEI no?

Is there any possibility that I will get my phone. How do they track with IMEI no. Anybody has any experience, pl.share your views, thanks

They can track call signals if anyone is using it but if they block the IMEI number then the phone will become useless and they won't be able to track it. What I suggest is ask them to track any calls and see where about it is then decide to cease it.

I don't think they can actually track the phone with the IMEI. But they can blacklist the IEMI as a lost phone and anytime the phone is connected to iTunes, it will be blocked by Apple. I'm not really sure, but its my guess.

If your iPhone 4 was running on iOS 5 or later you can track it using the Find my iPhone feature. This is assuming its on (usually on by default) and your account is still on the phone. You can go to https://icloud.com/...cloud.com/ and sign in with your Apple ID that you used to use on the iPhone. From there select the Find my iPhone option and hopefully if the phone is connected to data it will show up on a map.

Cheers and good luck!

Dint you have find my iPhone app installed in your iPhone? U cud hv easily tracked your phone urself with its help… Nyways 2 b frank i dnt think police really try 2 track phone with such imei nos… Bt wht i'll suggest is you can remotely erase your iPhone data if its vry prsonal… Visit apple support communities for d same.

For a start the ime number is just a unique number for each phone to be identified, the police don't care tbh.
your iphone should have a tracker on it well it does i know it does.use that tracker n find where it is. Delete your phones content if need be. No 1 else can use it anyway so its useless.
also why did you complain you should report it. Then they give you s crime report number which is pointless as well unless your claiming

Hopefully you get your phone soon! But the police, s finding your phone is a part of their security system not to be disclosed to the others?! Good security!

Pray to God

  • Using the IMEI number to find an offline, lost iPhone 5? Hi, I recently had my iPhone 5 stolen, on find my iPhone it will not give me the location because it is offline. I was wondering if there was anyway I could use the IMEI (which I have) to find the location of my iPhone.
  • My friend has complained her sons iphone got hacked and racked up a bill of £500,? Not sure how but apple have said that its past the 30 day period which you can challenge it and are threatening to send bailiffs over. They have been to citizens advice bureau and they say that if the contract says 30 days there's nothing they can do. Apparently it came from russia
  • Lost iPhone - blocked imei - now found, can I unblock? I lost my iPhone but someone kindly returned it to the hotel I lost it at. I reported it stolen/ missing at the time and it got blocked- obviously I can't really afford a brand new iPhone 5 when this one is fine but now my sim doesn't work (no signal just 3G) if I go to O2 with proof it's me will they unblock it for me?
