I just down loaded ios8 on my iphone 4s my phone seems slower?

Same thing happened to me when I downloaded ios7. I'm pretty sure it's just because ios is more advanced than the iphone 4 and works better with an iphone 5. Over time it might get faster but if not the only way to fix it would be to get a new phone:/

It does get better over time.
