I just sold IPhone and didn't know you were supposed to unlink phone from iCloud! Is my data safe?

I took out the SIM card and I did Settings --> General --> Reset --> Erase all Content and Settings. And I just now found out that my phone could still possibly be linked to iCloud OMG! I'm panicking! I found an article about this and I followed the steps and I didn't see my previous IPhone 5S device being linked to my iCloud account anymore. (See screenshot below) Is my data safe? Does this mean that my phone was unlinked when I did the reset? I don't know how to interpret this.

All iPhone data is encrypted by default, so any data recovered from your old iPhone all remain garbled nonsense unless the new owner knows your Apple ID and password.

There's a chance the buyer may be in touch with you to ask you to remove the phone from your Apple account. If so, you can either get the phone back and clear it by entering your details and then going into settings and deleting the phone from your Apple account, OR you can remotely wipe it and remove the iPhone from your Apple account using Find My iPhone on any laptop, desktop, tablet or smartphone. If you do that advise the new owner to backup their own data first so they don't lose it when you properly wipe the phone and delete it from your Apple account.
