I'm getting ready to have a lawsuit filed against me for being in a car accident without insurance and I'm poor please help what do I do?

Before I got into the accident and totaled my car. I had a part time job that I was using to pay for my car and I recently got fired from my job because I couldn't make it there on time. Now I have no money and I'm very poor. I'm 21 years old and I don't have a apartment or a house I'm living with my mother and please don't tell me to ask my mother for help because I want to take care of this myself and I do not want to tell my mother because my mother has anger issues and she will yell at me for sure. I recently got a job one or two weeks ago and I know it's going to be at least a few weeks before I receive my first paycheck. I already set up a payment plan and I want to know if I'm very late on one of the payments because my income is so low will I go to jail? Will the court or a police officer take away my $900 iPhone 7, laptops, bike and TVs that my mom bought for me.

Someone with no income and no insurance shouldn't be driving a car at all (but I suppose it is too late for that). Cars are an expensive option not a divine right. What do you do now? Take your lumps and learn what you can from it. There will likely be financial consequences to deal with one way or the other. You didn't mention who was at fault for the accident. If it was you then you will likely have no choice but to part with your assets and/or have to ask your mother for help (her getting angry is the least of your worries).

As the saying goes, "you can't get blood from a turnip". But unless you were driving without insurance (a crime in most parts), the suit will be against your insurer rather than against you personally.

When they enter a judgment against you then you will have so long to pay it or they can start seizing anything you own and can garnish any wages or tax refunds you get.

They can't send you to jail, but they can be pretty aggressive about property.

You wait until the judgement is issued, and file bankruptcy.
