I'm looking at getting an iPhone 5. Is 1GB of internet enough?

I use Twitter/Facebook and will watch some youtube videos.

I surf the web sometimes. Normally to check spellings or train times!

Is this enough?

The whole GB thing confuses me!

If you watch Youtube video then 1 gig is not enough. For all the rest it's ok.

As long as you don't go OTT with the YouTube videos, browsing twitter and Facebook everyday is okay. I have 1GB and use the Internet everyday on my phone and generally use just shy of a gig. Your service provider should let you know when you are close to your allowance limit.

The bottom line is if you don't watch streaming video then you are fine. I check news, stocks, sports, etc all that stuff daily and never come close to that.

Watching youtube videos will defiantly eat into your allowance but I would of thought it would be enough for general browsing, fb, twitter, and small amounts of you tube.

You can set usage caps just to make sure you never go over. If you set it at around 950MB then you won't ever go over

  • Would 1gb of data be enough for the iphone 4s? I plan on getting the 1gb of data per month and wondering if it would be enough for me because i don't want to go over and pay loads of money. I would be on twitter, instagram and snapchat mostly, but connecting to Wi-Fi when available. Also should i turn my data off everytime i can connect to Wi-Fi to save data or will it not be used when connected to Wi-Fi? When should i turn data off.

The only thing I go on the internet for on my phone is Facebook. Will it be enough data? Or will it be constantly looking for updates and stuff and use internet data? My old phone did that and took away heaps.

I'm wondering if 1gb would be enough, I will be downloading apps, using fabook, instagram, whatsapp and twitter (uploading pics) playing games and maybe youtubing a little. So what do you thinks best. I don't really understand kbs, mbs, gbs. Etc.
