I'm moving to Germany from US And I want to take my Iphone?

As far as I've read… The phone won't work. I can't understand that because other countries have Iphones too. Can some one simply explain this yes or no question? If I need to jailbreak it I will.

I'm not sure but I think you'll just have to get a carrier over here, our phones may not work over there either unless you pay for the whole earth roaming plan. Once you get a carrier here, you should be fine.

Depends on which iPhone you're talking about - and I'm not only speaking about iPhone 3/4/5/c/s… But the exact model number.

The problem with the standards is that there are so many to chose from, and one of those are the GSM and UMTS frequency bands. So there are quite a few different iPhone types (as with most phones), supporting the frequency bands of those countries they are sold in.

What are you reading? I'm pretty sure all you have to do is go to an apple store, or your provider's store, and have them "unlock" the phone. I'm pretty sure an iphone is unlockable. They will tell you better than you just reading random articles. Isn't "jailbreaking" when you do it yourself? Doesn't it have a sim card?

Yes. I 4s has a micro sim card, and a 5 has a nano sim card. That means you can use them in Europe.
