I'm not able to broswe internet, but I'm connected to the internet?

My iphone can connect to my router and browse fine. But my wired computer, Windows Vista, is unable to pull up a webpage. I'm also able to ping IP addresses for sites, but can't ping the name (ie.google.com) All my ip4 settings are set to "obtain automatically". Any suggestions?

Some things you can try:
-Disable your Firewall and try again, It may be blocking your browser.
-Try another browser.
-Boot in Safe mode ( Restart computer, and just spam f8 until a selection pops up and pick safe mode with networking).

Sounds to me like a dns registry issue. Try this.

click start/run and type in cmd and hit enter.

next type in

ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter

ipconfig /registerdns and hit enter

netsh winsock reset and hit enter

now reboot and test.

Hi, The Problem is - i set up a wireless network today for my Iphone 5 and my blackberry, from my main desktop at home, and all went well and Both are connected to it, as well as my laptop. But now whenever i try using the internet on these devices ( iphone etc ) it does not work, although the main desktops internet is working… Can anyone help me? I'm using WINDOWS 7.

  • My iPhone 5 says it's not connected to the internet, but it is? It won't let me check weather, go on Safari, and Siri won't respond at all. Everytime I load one of those, it always says the same message. I got it almost a month ago, and I would hate to take it to the Apple/Verizon store to get it checked out.
