I'm not allowed to grow up?

Ok. So I'm 17 and ever since I can remember it's always been my mom & I. She practically raised me on her own until she got remarried a couple of years ago. Up until 2 years ago, I was in public school. However, because of drugs problems in the school & the fact that they didn't offer enough AP classes, I finally choose to take online high school. That's when all of the problems began to arise. As of now, my mom won't sign the legal document to let me take my driver's test to get my license. She rarely let's me go on on the weekends with what friends I have left and when I do she's tracking me through the Find iPhone app.
Over the summer, our family got into some financial trouble and we've had to cut back, a lot, just so we can keep our house. This is where the other problem comes to play; she won't let me get a job. My grandma has offered to drive me to and from wherever I may get employed but my mom says I'm not allowed. I take babysitting jobs on the weekends sometimes and during the week (I;m in charge of dinner) when it comes down to either eating hamburger helper or ordering takeout with my earnings, my mom would rather go to bed hungry than eat the take out I bought for the family. I understand she's super stressed out and I try to help by maintaining my all A average, cleaning the house, cooking etc. But it seems like no matter what I do I can't get ahead. I want to be able to work and have the freedom to drive. I start college next year?! Any advice is appreciated

I understand how that feels I'm 17 too and my mom doesn't want me to grow up either
